In June 2021 we kicked off our first SEA Echoes Through Rivers street theatre 2-day festival led by Kaysone Syonesa and Sunny Thao in partnership with the City of Brooklyn Park and support from CURA/ANPI and MN State Arts Board. Artist collaborators created a unique street theater piece made up of stories of the Southeast Asian diasporas from Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, and other surrounding northwest suburbs in Minnesota.

SEA Echoes Through Rivers successfully did our 2nd Annual Street Theatre Festival in August 2022 again at the Brooklyn Park Library Plaza. In September 2023, we partnered with the City of Minneapolis as part of their Cultural Nights in the Park for a mini summer production. 

 

We will return again in the summer of 2024 and excited to bring to you more stories written, directed, and performed by our Southeast Asian artists.
